Mr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Vice-Chairman and Mr. Hassan Raza Pasha, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, have endorsed the press release of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council regarding number of seats that are vacant in the August Supreme Court of Pakistan should be filled through elevation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/Peshawar High Court for proper representation of all federating units in the Supreme Court.


They also expressed that the Pakistan Bar Council in its 238th meeting held on 27-12-2022 has already passed a Resolution that the Judicial Commission of Pakistan should formulate criteria for elevation of Judges in Supreme Court and ensure proper representation of each Province in Supreme Court, so that there should not be any heart burning among the populous of that Province as well as the lawyers of the concerned Province including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.


They reiterated that Judges from Peshawar High Court should be elevated against vacant seats in the Supreme Court and also supported the protest call and demand of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council in Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in this regard.
