Mr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry, Vice-Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council has expressed utter disappointment over the unfortunate and unwanted incident involving the insult and manhandling of Mr. Amir Sohail Sheikh, Advocate, Supreme Court (physically impaired person), by Rai Aftab Ahmed, Additional District & Session Judge, Patoki followed by use of abusive language and threats of grave consequences. He observed that such like conduct of Additional District & Session Judge is against the norms, code of conduct and ethics of the profession and is also against judicial decorum, which is unacceptable and highly condemnable.

He expressed that the Pakistan Bar Council ever strived for the Rule of Law and was of the view that such like personalities always brought bad name and defame to the entire judiciary and judicial system. He further said that the Council while endorsing the demands of Patoki Bar Association and other concerned Bar Associations/Bar Councils, calls for the immediate disciplinary action against the Additional District & Session Judge, Patoki so as to protect and safeguard the dignity of judiciary and also to avoid such like incidents in future.
