Mr. Abid Saqi, Vice-Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council, called on today, Mr. Khalid Jawed Khan, Attorney-General for Pakistan and Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council, when besides other matters concerning problems being faced by Advocates and Bar Bodies, he also discussed with him, in detail, the matters pertaining to an important case of “LAND REFORMS” pending for quite some time, in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and that of successive incidents of target killings and kidnapping of Advocates in the Country.

He emphasized the desirability of early fixation of the case of “LAND REFORMS” and final decision thereon by the Hon’ble Supreme Court at the earliest possible in view of its utmost significance and urgency in the vital national interest and for legislation, on urgent basis of the “Protection of Advocates Act”.

The learned Attorney-General for Pakistan assured the Vice-Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council his full co-operation for getting the needful done in respect of both the above matters, at the level of appropriate forums, as early as possible.
