     PRESS RELEASE

Mr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Vice-Chairman and Mr. Hassan Raza Pasha, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, have shown their serious concerns about the kidnapping of Mr. Aamir Saeed Rawn, Advocate, Supreme Court and Former Secretary, Lahore High Court Bar Association, on 01-02-2023, by unknown persons, who is still in their illegal confinement. They expressed that, this act is highly condemnable and it is very strange that I. G. Police, Province of Punjab and heads of other Agencies at Provincial level showed their ignorance about the culprits, who are responsible for kidnapping of an Advocate of the Supreme Court.

They further expressed that this sort of action is not acceptable, by the lawyers fraternity throughout the Country and demanded for release of Mr. Aamir Saeed Rawn, Advocate with immediate effect, otherwise, they have no other option left, except to take strict action against them throughout the Country. It is further added that these sort of actions are causing unrest amongst people of different walks of life, especially the lawyers community, who always keep on struggling to protect Human Rights guaranteed, under the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

They added that the Pakistan Bar Council after consultation with Provincial Bar Councils and Bar Associations will take future course of actions, in case of non-recovery of Mr. Aamir Saeed Rawn, Advocate, within two days.
