Mr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Vice-Chairman, Mr. Hassan Raza Pasha, Chairman, Executive Committee and Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, learned Member, Pakistan Bar Council have strongly condemned the suspicious disappearance of Mr. Muhammad Achar Jalbani, Advocate, Hyderabad & Member, Sindh Bar Council, with his car, on 2nd August, 2023 from, Hyderabad.

 

They said despite lapse of six days, Mr. Muhamamd Achar Jalbani, Advocate is still missing and could not be traced, which is utter failure of law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order situation and to provide safety and security to citizens especially the Advocates. While expressing their grave concerns and dismay upon increasing incidents of suspicious disappearance and abduction of Advocates day by day, the Pakistan Bar Council cannot turn a blind eye on such like illegal acts.

 

The Council demanded that it is incumbent upon I. G. Police and the relevant law enforcement agencies to carry out fair and transparent probe and to properly investigate those who have been nominated in the FIR and also urged upon the Government of Sindh to take steps for early recovery of Mr. Muhammad Achar Jalbani, Advocate. They have demanded that Federal and Provincial Governments should provide security to citizens especially the Advocates and take immediate measures to stop such like incidents against Advocates in future.
