Mr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Vice-Chairman and Mr. Hassan Raza Pasha, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, expressed their serious concern upon illegal and unlawful arrest of Sardar Azeemullah Khan, Advocate from his house on Wednesday night and other Advocates, they strongly condemned the harassment done by the law enforcement agencies and illegal arrest of the Advocates while violating the principles of fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

They, therefore, not only strongly condemned the insulting and humiliating act of Police towards Lawyers but also urged upon the Government and other concerned Institutions/Agencies for forthwith release of Sardar Azeemullah Khan and other Advocates who are in illegal confinement across the Country with immediate effect otherwise, the legal fraternity will proceed in accordance with law against the concerned responsible Police officials who involved in such like illegal acts.

The Vice-Chairman and Chairman, Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, also strongly condemned the brutal murder of Ms. Khadija-tul-Kubra, Advocate, in Pindi Gheb Town of District: Attock yesterday, and extended their condolence with the bereaved family.

They questioned the pathetic law and order situation and gross failure of the State and law enforcement agencies to provide security to the citizens and Lawyers community. They further expressed their deep concerns upon the said incident of target killing of Ms. Khadija-tul-Kubra, Advocate, and demanded from the DPO, Attock and I.G. Police, Punjab, to arrest the culprits immediately and award them exemplary punishment.
