CONDEMNATION OF ISRAEL’S AGGRESSIONS AGAINST THE INNOCENT PALESTINIANS

AND

OBSERVEANCE OF PROTEST DAY

ON THURSDAY, THE 19TH OCTOBER, 2023.

 

Mr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Vice-Chairman and Mr. Hassan Raza Pasha, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council have strongly condemned the recent escalation of violence of Isreal’s upon innocent Palestinians and expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine who have been subjected to ongoing aggression, cruelties, airstrikes that resulted in many deaths and casualties in utter violation of human rights and international humanitarian law. They expressed that legal community of Pakistan is deeply concerned about the loss of innocent lives, particularly women and children, displacement and destruction of homes and infrastructure of the innocent Palestinians as well as the inhumane blockade of Gaza Strip. They said we call upon the international community, including the United Nations and relevant stakeholders, to intensify their efforts in facilitating dialogue and negotiations to achieve a lasting peace in the region. They expressed that a peaceful and just resolution is need of the day of this long-standing conflict. They said Palestine is the sacred place of Muslim Ummah, therefore they stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

 

They have also urged the Government of Pakistan to play its practical role and take immediate steps at International level to build pressure upon Israel to stop these hostilities against innocent Palestinian Muslims. They have announced to observe nationwide PROTEST on Thursday, the 19th October, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. to show solidarity with the people of Palestine and asked all the Bar Associations throughout Country, to observe PROTEST and hold marches and rallies and pass Resolutions against aggressions and brutalities of Israel and express solidarity and support with the people of Palestine.
