                     Nationwide Lawyers Strike
      for pressing demand for resignation of Prime Minister of Pakistan,
            The Chief Minister, Punjab and Federal Finance Minister.

Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, Vice-Chairman and Mr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman,
Chairman, Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, in continuation
of demands made during the Joint Press Conference they have held a Lahore
today with Malik Inayat Ullah Awan, Vice-Chairman & Syed Azmat Ali
Bukhari, Chairman, Executive Committee of Punjab Bar Council, Mr. Abid
Saqi, Member, Pakistan Bar Council and Syed Farhad Ali Shah & Hafiz
Ansar-ul-Haq, Members, Punjab Bar Council, have demanded of the Prime
Minister of Pakistan, The Chief Minister, Punjab and Mr. Ishaq Dar,
Federal Finance Minister to immediately resign from their respective
offices in the wake of JIT report constituted by the Supreme Court of
Pakistan in Panama Leaks Case whereby the corruption and money laundering
by all of them have irrebuttably been proved. The legal fraternity in
particular and the people of Pakistan in general, expect dis-qualification
of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief Minister, Punjab and The Federal
Finance Minister and their accomplices by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of
Pakistan in the light of JIT Report, they added.

They have assured that since the legal fraternity has always been staunch
supporter for upholding the Rule of Law, supremacy of the Constitution,
independence of Judiciary and strengthening of democratic system in the
Country, it will fully support the Hon’ble Supreme Court and will not
hesitate to foil any attempt on the part of the Ruling Party to influence
and undermine the dignity and prestige of the apex Court. They have
demanded for punitive action against all of them under the NAB Laws and
their prosecution for perjury. They have also strongly condemned the
constant campaign of vilification by Members of the Ruling Party against
the JIT and the Judiciary requesting the Supreme Court for initiating
contempt proceedings against them.

They have also appealed Members of the Bar throughout Pakistan for
observing complete Strike tomorrow i.e. 19-07-2017, for pressing the
demand of resignation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chief
Minister of Punjab and the Federal Finance Minister and to express
solidarity with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan and the JIT.
