Mr. Abid Saqi, Vice Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council has expressed his dismay and disappointment on issuance of the Notice of Contempt of Court to the learned President, High Court Bar Association, Multan, pursuant to the Order passed by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Asjad Javed Ghural, which apprehensively would not serve any useful purpose rather may cause distrust between Bench and the Bar. He has emphasised the need of exercising restraint by the Judiciary to resort to such extreme actions against elected representatives and office bearers of the Bar Bodies.
The Vice Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council has, therefore, demanded for immediate withdrawal of the contempt notice issued against the President, High Court Bar Assiciation, Multan in larger interest of cordial relations between Bench and the Bar.
